More Love for Midsummer and Kinsmen

We’ve gotten two final reviews, from DC Theatre Scene, which saw both productions, and MD Theatre Guide, which covered The Two Noble Kinsmen to pair with their earlier review of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

– – We’re highly recommended by DC Theatre Scene: “the secret weapon of both shows is the use of music, curated to weave between both shows, certain songs symbolizing certain ideas, and developing over the course of some 4-plus hours with a company. Arranger, composer, and music director Zach Roberts has done some great work in that regard, while the entire rest of the cast lends their voices, along with various other instruments, to create this highly effective through-line. … I certainly highly recommend visiting. The two plays working together, along with the rareness of Kinsmen, make it too good an opportunity to pass up.”

MD Theatre Guide says: “There is much to admire about the Brave Spirits troupe under the direction of Charlene V. Smith — their eager ambition, the quality and passion of their performances, and the talent that has many of them double as backstage musicians (performing music by Zach Roberts).”
