William Shakespeare's

Romeo and Juliet

June 12 – 22, 2013

O God, I have an ill-divining soul!

Driven by both passion and pragmatism, Juliet embarks upon her journey from adolescence through womanhood to death in the span of only four summer days. Tempers are short, emotions are extreme, and time melts like an ice cube in the heat.

For this production, it is the director, Victoria Reinsel, who brings a bravura youthfulness to the proceedings, revealing Romeo and Juliet to be a mosh pit of colliding passions. Yet, while this is a bucking-bull ride of a production, because Reinsel is herself an actress who has displayed a master’s skill with Shakespeare’s verse, she keeps a tight grip on the play’s Shakespearean reins.
