We are working with Convergence staff on improving the accessibility of our performance space. The side entrance now includes a wheelchair ramp. Our seats are non-permanent and so any of them can be removed for the placement of a wheelchair. All productions include at least some seating at floor level. The bathrooms are single-use rooms with grab bars.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. We have not yet starting scheduling sign-interpreted performances, but if you would like to see us add this, or any other feature, please let us know.
Brave Spirits is located in a brick building with turquoise trim immediately off N. Quaker Lane in Alexandria. You’ll also see an obvious triangular building, which is Convergence, located directly across from Brave Spirits.
Brave Spirits is most easily reached by car, and parking is free and plentiful. We can also be reached by bus or with a short taxi or ride-share from one of several nearby Metro stations.

The first left on Crestwood Drive will take you into Brave Spirits’ small parking lot. The first right on Crestwood Drive is a larger parking lot for Convergence, and you may also park here during Brave Spirits performances. If you park at Convergence, walk back towards N. Quaker Lane and cross the street to reach Brave Spirits.
Buses to Brave Spirits are available from the Braddock Road, King Street, Pentagon City, and Pentagon stations. However, please be advised that buses from Brave Spirits after evening performances may not run frequently.
Please consult the Metro’s trip planner at www.wmata.com/schedules/trip-planner to plan your route in detail, and remember to make sure your bus will still be running when the performance is over. Alternately, you may take a taxi or ride-share from any of these stations to Brave Spirits and back after the performance; fares are $6-15 each way.
Brave Spirits Theatre acknowledges that we perform on the traditional land of the Pamunkey Indian Tribe. Historically, they inhabited the coastal tidewater of Virginia on the north side of the James River near Chesapeake Bay. Scholars estimate that various distinct cultures of Native Americans occupied this part of the mid-Atlantic coast for more than 10,000 years before European contact.
